About Me

My name is Ana Moore, and I am a qualified and pre-accredited counsellor and psychotherapist based in Cavan. Originally from Lisbon, Portugal, I made Ireland my home over thirty years ago. I am also a proud mother of three, with two dogs and two cats to complete our family.

Life can sometimes present challenges that feel overwhelming, and I am here to support you through them. With empathy and congruence, I create a safe and understanding environment, offering unconditional positive regard to every client I meet. Recognizing that each individual’s experience is unique, I take an integrative and pluralistic approach tailored to your specific needs.

I provide counselling sessions in English and Portuguese to individuals aged 13 and older. I am a member of the Infant Mental Health Network for Cavan & Monaghan.

I have experience working with a range of issues, including the following:

Depression

Anxiety

Stress

Suicide Ideation

Suicide Post-vention

Self-Harm

Low-Self Esteem

Grief

Anger

Relationship issues

Perinatal and Postnatal issues

As an integrative and pluralistic therapist, I use various therapeutic techniques to suit each person’s journey. Some of these approaches include:

  • Person-Centered Therapy

If you’re facing obstacles in life, I’m here to listen and support you in finding a way forward. Multiculturalism is at the heart of my practice. I have the life experience of moving to a country at a young age and trying to adapt to a new culture and make new friends.
